A plan for the long hoped for exit from Interstate 85 at Old Beatty Ford Road will be discussed in a public meeting on Thursday night by the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Thursday’s public meeting is set from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Moose Family Center, 990 Old Beatty Ford Road in China Grove.
The exit will be built in conjunction with the widening project for the area and will mean that southern Rowan County will have two exits off I-85; one at Old Beatty Ford Road and another at N.C. 152 near China Grove.
According to NC DOT, interested people can attend the meeting to ask questions, view project maps and offer their opinion about the best design of the interstate exit.
No formal presentation is scheduled to be made, but DOT staff will answer any questions about the design of the exit.
