The death of a 10-month-old baby is under investigation in York County, deputies say.
EMS responded to a home on Peachtree Street Sunday afternoon and attempted to give CPR to the baby after the baby's mother called for help. The baby was dead, the York County Sheriff's Office says, who was also called to the home.
The baby's mother, 23, said she she put the baby in bed with her after being out until 3 a.m. The mother said she woke up around 5 a.m., fed the baby a bottle and went back to sleep.
She said she woke up just after 1:30 p.m. and found the baby unresponsive. That's when she says she called for help.
