CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

One person was arrested and two others are wanted in an attempted armed robbery and assault in west Charlotte early Tuesday morning.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say two people were inside a vehicle in the 4800 block of Tuckaseegee Road when they were approached by three people, who pulled them from the vehicle.

One of the victims was assaulted while attempting to be robbed, police say. That person called 911 and the three people ran off.

"As the suspects fled, the one armed with a firearm fired it a single time," police say. No one was struck by the bullet.

Edward Donnell Livingston, 18, was located and arrested. He was charged with attempted armed robbery and aggravated assaulted. He was also served a probation violation.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call police.
