Knights Partnering with the American Red Cross, News Talk 1110 WBT & 107.9 The Link

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- On Thursday, October 20th from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Charlotte Knights, News Talk 1110 WBT and 107.9 The Link will collect individually-wrapped snacks and cases of bottled water for those displaced from their homes in Eastern North Carolina by Hurricane Matthew. All items collected during Thursday’s collection drive will go directly to the American Red Cross.

Thursday’s collection drive will take place at the main gates of BB&T Ballpark. Fans can use MLK Jr. Blvd. as a “drop-off” point. Members of the Charlotte Knights front office will be available throughout the day to collect all donated items. Radio personalities from both WBT and The Link will also be on-site.

“We are very pleased to partner with WBT and The Link for Thursday’s collection drive,” stated Knights Chief Operating Officer Dan Rajkowski. “Hurricane Matthew affected so many people, including so many in our home state of North Carolina. The Red Cross has identified individually-wrapped snacks and bottled water as critically needed items. We are hopeful that Thursday’s drive will help make a difference.”

Monetary donations will also be collected and given to the American Red Cross through Charlotte Knights Charities. For more details, or to donate, please visit and
