WEATHER: Mild morning, temps cool down again heading into weekend

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Following the warmest day of the week so far yesterday (we hit 80°), this morning is a little milder. Your commuting temps will be closer to 60° for most spots, which will be a noticeable difference over the 40s we've woken up to all week!

The milder morning won't translate to a warmer afternoon, however. With more clouds around and an East breeze returning, highs level off in the low 70s, right on target for average highs for the time of year. Both this afternoon and tomorrow there could be a sprinkle in the high country, but otherwise it's dry despite a few more clouds.

Highs Saturday hold around 70°, then with more sun Sunday we warm back up into the mid 70s. The warm up continues through next week as highs eventually return to the low 80s with mornings in the upper 50s.

Enjoy your Friday!
