Car strikes woman then home in northwest Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A woman was injured in northwest Charlotte Thursday when she was hit by a vehicle she was working on, which then hit a home.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on the 3800 block of Avalon Avenue, which runs between Tennyson and Glenwood Drives. Medic confirmed that a vehicle struck a pedestrian before striking a home.

Police said that pedestrian, a woman, was working on the car at the time of the incident, but did not give further details.

There is no word on the condition of woman who was struck, and her name has not been released.
