CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Another day with wake-up temps in the cool 40s, before we rebound back to the 70s this afternoon. Today's high of 74° will be a bit above yesterday's 71°, and pretty close to the normal of 73° for the time of year. Tonight brings another night in the 40s before a small spike in temps for Thursday.
On Thursday, a cold front will move through but it is unlikely to bring rain. That's good news for the flood-stricken parts of eastern NC. Thursday's highs will flirt with 80° and nighttime lows hold in the 50s.
Behind the front, a reinforcing area of cool high pressure builds back in. This will drop temps back into the low 70s Friday and Saturday. A small disturbance skirting by to the west could maybe touch off a mountain shower in a couple spots Saturday, but other than that our rain chances look slim to none.
We'll start to warm up again Sunday through Tuesday as highs will approach 80° again by early next week.
Enjoy your Wednesday!
