CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - TIP #2: It's ALL in the seasonings, folks.
That's today's #TeamNOSugar tip for #30tipsin30days.
It may sound simple - but I've found it's a real game-changer. People automatically think being on #TNS means eating boring, bland food. Negative, ghostwriter! It's all about how you season the food.
Some of my faves: anything by Mrs. Dash - but the Garlic Herb blend is my fave. I'm also partial to basil, rosemary, curry - and Old Bay (use sparingly unless we're talking crab legs(!!) as a little goes a long way.)
This goes for chicken, fish, beef, veggies (especially roasted) - seasoning can make a world of difference. I even jazz up my scrambled eggs in the morning.
Here's the my baked Swai recipe as promised. It's SUPER easy (also I just used whatever seasonings I had and made it up as I went along so feel free to add/subtract as you wish):
Preheat oven to 425.
Drizzle both sides of fillets with olive oil - enough so it's lightly coated.
Liberally season (both sides) with Mrs.Dash Garlic Herb blend, pepper, a dash of salt (Himalayan Pink Salt is my go-to) and Old Bay.
top with a slice of lemon then take sheets of aluminum foil and fold them into individual packets (as pictured).
Bake at 425 for 20 mins or until flaky.
