GASTON COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

Three people were inside a Gaston County home when it caught fire early Tuesday morning. Officials are now saying the fire was intentionally set.

The Gaston County Fire Department said the fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. at a home in the 200 block of Lynnhaven Drive.

According to the Gaston County Fire Marshal, the fire was set intentionally, and whoever did it is still on the run.

Alexis Hall is one of the neighbors who called 911 when she saw the flames.

"We saw the whole side of the house over there, it was completely in flames," Hall said.

Hall said she has unanswered questions after hearing this fire was intentionally set.

"I think it's scary because I don't know why or who would intentionally set their house on fire," Hall said.

No injuries were reported.
