Men wanted in armed robbery at Huntersville convenience store

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (WBTV) -

Two men are wanted for robbing a convenience store in Huntersville Wednesday.

Huntersville police say two men went inside the Circle K on Hylas Lane around 1:06 a.m. and stole the cash register. The first man was armed with a handgun and the second man stole the register, police say. 

The first robber is described as a black man who was wearing athletic pants, a blue hoodie and had a white garment around his face. The second robber is described as a black man who was wearing gray sweatpants, a black shirt and had a black garment around his face. 

The robbers fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, heading southeast toward Eastfield Road. 

Huntersville police say they are working with police in Kannapolis regarding a similar robbery.
