Two teenagers have been charged with murder in the death of a 90-year-old woman who police say the boys intended to rob.

Anthony Deion Cooper and Isaiah Powell, both 17, are charged with first degree murder in the death of Gilma Goodman, who was shot and killed in her home on Wednesday evening.

Police said the teens went to Goodman's home between 7:45 and 8 p.m. with the intent to rob her. During that attempted robbery, Goodman was shot and killed. They are also charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and discharging a weapon into an occupied property causing serious bodily injury.

The investigation began when Concord police received a call around 10:05 p.m. about a woman, identified as Goodman, being found dead inside her home on McKinnon Avenue by neighbors who became worried when they saw that her back door was left open.

Concord police said they were looking for three men who were seen in the area of Goodman's home Wednesday night.
