Concord police say they received a call around 10:05 p.m. about a woman, identified as Gilma Goodman, 90, being found dead inside her home on McKinnon Avenue.
Concord Police say they are looking for three men who were seen in the area of her home Wednesday night.
Police two were wearing shorts and red hooded sweatshirts, both were approximately 5’10” around 150 – 180 lbs. The third man was described as wearing a white tank top, shorts, clean shaven, approximately 6’0” – 6’3”, around 120 lbs.
“We walked up the hill and found her laying in the kitchen floor" said Carolyne Oliver. "It was not a pretty sight.”
Oliver had known Goodman for most of her life. She and her husband often checked on Gilma and became worried when they noticed their neighbor's back door standing open late last night.
After finding Mrs. Goodman, Oliver contacted neighbor Gary Little.
“So I went over there and looked, looked in the door, and there’s blood all over the floor and somebody had shot her or something and when the police got here they told me she had been shot," Little said.
Investigators went to Goodman's home, and now say they are investigating the case a homicide. Officers are continuing to follow up on leads and conduct interviews.
So far, no arrests have been made.
