Bounce Scholar of the Week: Marcus Lawe

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Each week during the school year, Project L.I.F.T. selects a student who is excelling not only inside the classroom, but outside as well. The student - along with their favorite teacher - is featured every Wednesday on WBTV News on Bounce at 8 p.m. The program operates within the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System.

This week's scholar is Marcus Lawe, a 5th grader at Thomasboro Academy.

He is the middle child in his family and he has four brothers and sisters. His favorite color is blue. He loves all sweets especially cookies and fruit punch.

Marcus loves reading the Geronimo Stilton Book Series. His favorite subjects are math and science.

He also enjoys playing basketball at home. Marcus' favorite sport is football and he loves the Cowboys. He spends time at home watching Pokémon. His favorite season is winter because he loves the snow and throwing snowballs.

When asked what is the best thing about himself, Marcus answered, “I am a very good person."
