Two-year-old found wandering in apartment complex parking lot

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -

A neighbor called police on Monday after spotting a two-year-old boy walking around the parking lot of the Clancy Hills Apartment complex off Jake Alexander Boulevard.

According to police, the person who was supposed to be watching child for the parent was asleep, and the child walked out of the front door.

The incident happened at 10:30 on Monday morning.

The Department of Social Services was called.  The investigation is continuing but no charges have been filed, according to police.

The child was not hurt.

    Prominent Charlotte physician Jonathan Christenbury tested positive for cocaine during a drug screening test in November, the N.C. Medical Board disclosed Friday. Christenbury admitted to ingesting the drug in October to alleviate depression, according to a legal notice filed by the board.
