Police trying to ID Caldwell County bank robber caught on camera

CALDWELL COUNTY, NC (WBTV ) -

Investigators are asking for the public's help identifying a man who robbed a bank in Caldwell County Monday. 

The robbery happened just after 12:30 p.m. at the First Citizens Bank on Falls Avenue in Granite Falls. Police said the man went into the bank, demanded money then left and ran toward Al's Diner on Falls Avenue before leaving the area in a vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

The robber is described as a 6-foot-tall white male weighing about 180 lbs. He was wearing shorts, a purple sweatshirt, a red or orange baseball hat and sunglasses.
