North Charlotte house fire under investigation

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A fire caused around $175,000 worth of damage to a home in north Charlotte early Monday morning, according to the Charlotte Fire Department. 

The fire broke out around 12:55 a.m. at a two-story home in the 6100 block of Statesville Road.

The fire started inside the home near the back, firefighters say. The owners were out of town when the fire broke out. 

It took firefighters around 40 minutes to extinguish the fire, which remains under investigation. 

No injuries were reported.
