Police looking for witnesses in Charlotte homicide

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Police in Charlotte are looking for witnesses in a homicide investigation.

At 8:12 p.m., officers were called to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center after a family member brought in a man suffering from trauma. That man, later identified as 45-year-old William Lynn Phillips, was pronounced deceased the next day.

Investigators have not released any further details about Phillips' injuries.

As of Friday, detectives were still trying to determine where the incident took place and whether there were any witnesses.
