SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -

Salisbury Police are continuing to investigate the shooting death of  April Cora-Lucille Hall, 40, from Spencer, who was found on Saturday outside of a home on 11th Street suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was reportedly taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center and later moved to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. She died Saturday evening from her injuries.

"If you knew her, you knew a woman who loved children," a friend posted on Hall's Facebook page. "She loved hers most of all but never missed an opportunity to let herself get lost inside laughter and horse play. She had a huge heart and a deep love for family and friends. The details of the funeral and all of her last wishes are being worked out through her surviving family members at this time but I was asked to make a post for donations to be sent to Whitley's funeral home in Kannapolis to help with the cost of her burial. Her smile and fun loving personality will be missed by many and we love you April Hall.  So sorry you left is such a senseless way."

The shooting is under investigation by Salisbury police. Anyone with information regarding this matter is encouraged to call the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245, or online at http://tips.salisburyrowancrimestoppers.org/
