CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - BIG changes coming this way...
Who's ready for fall?
It's finally going to make a come-back. We just have to get through one more day of thunderstorm chances before we can enjoy it.
Today will still be a bit unsettled. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s again and it will still be very humid, with the chance for at least a few more thunderstorms to pop up this afternoon.
The best chance may be along and east of I-85, but I suppose one or two could not be ruled out anywhere across the WBTV viewing area.
By Thursday, you will finally feel the effects of a cold front moving in from the west. Highs will be in the upper 70s to near 80 and we will stay there through the weekend. The best part will be the humidity levels which will be lowering through the weekend. With dew points back in the 50s, we're in for a real taste of fall!
And while afternoon readings will be in the 70s Friday and Saturday and close to 80 Sunday, lows at night will fall into the cool 50s.
