CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A man who was shot and killed by a Charlotte police officer will have funeral arrangements handled by a South Carolina funeral home.
Murray's Mortuary, in North Charleston, posted an obituary Tuesday for 43-year-old Keith Lamont Scott.
Scott was killed one week ago while police were serving a warrant at The Village at College Downs apartment complex on Old Concord Road, in northeast Charlotte. His death sparked protesting across the city of Charlotte, erupting into days of protesting, violent protesting and even a couple days of rioting in the city.
The obituary says Scott is a husband, father of seven and grandfather of two. It also says his late father was a detective.
Funeral services have not yet been posted online.
