11 arrests made during night 6 of protests in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A total of 11 arrests were made Sunday night into Monday morning during protests in Charlotte over the death of Keith Lamont Scott.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the charges ranged from assaulting an officer to standing in the street. One person arrested was wanted for looting previous nights.  

Protesters took to the streets of Charlotte for the sixth night in a row, remaining mostly peaceful. 

Charlotte's curfew was lifted Sunday night, but the State of Emergency remains in effect.

Below are the arrests and charges from overnight:

  • Tyteris Dunvar of Charlotte charged with breaking and entering (warrant related to looting from previous nights)
  • Braxton David Winston II of Charlotte charged with Extraordinary Event violation
  • Bruce Eric Garmon of Charlotte charged with carrying a concealed weapon - gun and Extraordinary Event violation
  • Armando Gallardo of Washington, DC charged with Extraordinary Event violation
  • Osiris Rain of Charlotte charged with Extraordinary Event violation
  • Ana Sanjar if Charlotte charged with standing in the street
  • Kenny Nguyen of Charlotte charged with standing in the street and resist, obstruct and delay
  • Michell Marie Busick of Charlotte charged with standing in the street
  • Jake Nathaniel Poler of Ohio charged with assault on an officer
  • Donnell Lamar Jones of Missouri charged with resist, obstruct and delay, and assault on an officer
  • Kyaize Taylor of Charlotte charged with standing in the street and resist, obstruct and delay

Several others were arrested during Saturday nights protests. 

After the violent protests in uptown Charlotte Wednesday night and Thursday morning, 44 people were arrested, but police said more arrests would be made. Some of those arrests were announced early Sunday morning.
