Heavy rain causes flooding in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Heavy rainfall caused flooding on roads in Charlotte Monday morning. 

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for the Charlotte area through 9:15 a.m. 

The 1300 block of N Tryon Street was shut down in both directions for a time due to flooding. 

The road reopened around 6:50 a.m.

Trailer Road in northeast Charlotte, which runs parallel to Interstate 85, was also shut down due to flooding.
