Celebrate national pancake day with Famous Toastery

Celebrate National Pancake Day on Monday at Famous Toastery of Davidson.

Steve Henning II, General Manager, Famous Toastery of Davidson, stopped by WBTV News Sunday Morning to share fun pancake recipes, including for Pumpkin Spice pancakes.

PUMPKIN  SPICE PANCAKES 
Recipe yields 6-10 Pancakes


Step 1.


INGREDIENTS         UNITS        QUANTITY
Whole milk               Qts              1
Eggs                        Each           5
Pumpkin  puree         Cups            1
Molasses                  Cup            1/2
Melted butter             Oz               oz


Procedure: 
1.In a clean container combine milk, eggs, pumpkin and molasses. Set aside.


Step 2.
INGREDIENTS      UNITS       QUANTITY
All purpose flour     Cups             4 
Whole wheat flour   Cups             4
Brown sugar           Cups             1
Baking powder        Cup              1/2
Nutmeg                  Tsp               1
Cinnamon               Tbsp             1
Cloves                    Tsp              1
Allspice                   Tsp              1
Ginger                     Tbsp            2
Salt                         Tsp             1/4

Procedure:
1. In a clean mixing bowl combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Cooking Procedure:
1. Pour wet mixture in to dry mixture and mix thoroughly.
2. Add melted butter to the mixture and mix well.
3. Pour 2 tbsp vegetable oil onto heated griddle or frying pan
4. Measure 1/4 to 1/2 cup of batter and pour onto griddle or pan
5.  Allow to cook 2-3 minutes, flip and continue to cook 2-3 minutes more until golden in color
6.  Top with 100% Maple Syrup or your favorite toppings
7.  Serve and Enjoy!
