Woman shot in Salisbury later dies in hospital

Salisbury police said a woman was found Saturday morning suffering from a gunshot wound outside a vacant house. That woman later died in the hospital.

According to police, they were called to East 11th Street at 1:12 a.m. to help the fire department with an assault call.

Police said they found April Cora-Lucille Hall, a 40-year-old from Spencer, outside a home suffering from a gunshot wound.

She was reportedly taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center and later moved to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. She died Saturday evening from her injuries.
