VIDEO: Teen seen kicking in glass during uptown marches, later arrested

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A Charlotte teenager is among those arrested during a night of protests that turned into violent riots in uptown Charlotte.

Wednesday night, the city saw a second night of protests following the shooting death of 43-year-old Keith Lamont Scott. Scott was shot by a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officer and later died.

Police say Scott had a gun, his family claims he didn't have one.

Protesters marched for hours Wednesday night at times the march turned violent and people began to riot.

Photos and videos, like the one below from WBTV's Coleen Harry, began to circulate social media.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say 19-year-old Ian Bowzer, of Charlotte, was charged with damage to property. Police say the charges were in connection with doors being kicked in at Hyatt House. 

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney said 44 people were arrested in connection with Wednesday night's marches.
