Gov. Pat McCrory said Tuesday that House Bill 2 is not likely to be repealed at this point.
“This will most likely be resolved in the Supreme Court,” he said, during remarks at a Rotary Club in Charlotte.
McCrory said he tried to find a way to undo the bill.
“I tried to work with leadership to find a solution, but there are people who don’t want that solution,” he said.
He also threw the blame for the situation at the feet of the Charlotte city government.
“Charlotte is causing more problems by trying to solve a problem that does not exist,” he said.
