Mustard Slaw and Mustard BBQ Sauce

Mustard Slaw (Yield: 3.5 quarts)


  • 5 pounds shredded cabbage
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1.5 cups creole mustard
  • 1 cup Dijon mustard
  • 3 quarts Duke’s mayonnaise
  • 1 cup salad oil
  • Salt and pepper


Whisk vinegar and sugar together until dissolved. Add mayo and mustard. Slowly whisk in salad oil. Dress cabbage to proper moisture level. Season with salt and pepper.

Mustard BBQ Sauce


  • 1 cup house made mustard (sub with creole mustard)
  • 1.5 cups apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup sorghum
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


Whisk all ingredients together, let sit overnight.
