The SouthLake Christian girls volleyball team will host Dig Pink Night on Thursday, Sept. 8 in the Wilcox Gym at SouthLake Christian Academy. Those who attend are encouraged to wear pink. All proceeds from the gate and concessions will support SouthLake Christian Academy families battling Breast Cancer. The middle school match begins at 4 p.m., followed by the junior varsity (5 p.m.) and varsity matches (6 p.m.).
The Eagles will take on Hickory Grove on Dig Pink Night. SouthLake Christian owns a record of 6-6 (3-0 in the Metrolina Athletic Conference) after its 3-1 (21-25, 25-18, 25-19, 28-26) victory over Metrolina Christian Academy on Sept. 6. Sophomore Kennedy Smith leads all scorers with 158 kills and 94 digs. Sophomores Grace Iannarino's 337 assists and Mia Handlogten's 15 blocks also top the Eagles in their respective categories. ?
