CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Summer should be winding down - not heating up! WE should have afternoon readings in the mid 80s in early September, but no one told the weather we declared this past weekend the last "unofficial" weekend of summer. And so, the 90s are back for a while to come.
Today will be another mostly sunny day with highs in the low 90s. Thursday and Friday will be a little warmer - plus the humidity will kick back in. Rain chances hold close to zero through the rest of the work week.
By the weekend, we will begin to see changes. Highs will still be in the low 90s on Saturday but a cold front will move through by Sunday. That will begin our descent back into the 80s, with lower humidity levels expect next week.
Still, there does not appear to be a good trigger for rain anytime soon, so are 7 inch deficit YTD, will continue to grow in the wrong direction!
