CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - It doesn't seem quite right that it would get warmer the week after Labor Day, but that's the case this time. High pressure will stay in place for a few more days, and while the humidity level will be held in check, afternoon readings all this week will run well above average in the low to mid 90s.
The good part of a high pressure system taking over is that we get to enjoy the sun.
The bad part is that we have a low chance of rain through the entire week. Charlotte and much of the eastern half of the WBTV viewing area did receive rain from Hermine last week, but Charlotte is still more than six inches behind for the year and that number is going to grow - in the wrong direction - this week.
