Labor Day forecast: Highs to reach upper 80s, humidity remains low

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Yet another day ahead of beautiful weather- the third day straight to coincide with the third day of the long weekend!

After another comfortably cool morning in the upper 50s and low 60s, afternoon highs get back to the upper 80s this afternoon. This will be a few degrees above yesterday's levels, but humidity stays in check, so it will still feel quite nice. A mostly sunny sky and light north breeze will add to the fall-like feel of the day.

We do get back to about 90° tomorrow and then low 90s by midweek, but the humidity rise holds off until late week.

Meanwhile, with the dry forecast over the week ahead, our rain deficit will continue to grow. At this point, it looks like any rain chance holds off until next weekend-- a weak front Sunday will return the shower chance, but that's almost a full week away at this point.

Enjoy the Holiday!
