CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Jennifer Sherrel died this past March after fighting metastatic breast cancer for 15 years. Many of us active in Charlotte's breast cancer community knew Jen. Read the post about her the day after it happened, here >> http://tinyurl.com/gpmc9n2

Well... her husband Bryan set up a Susan G. Komen Charlotte "Race for the Cure" team in Jen's memory. His team is kicking butt. Here's his team link >> http://charlotte.info-komen.org/site/TR/RacefortheCure/CLT_CharlotteAffiliate?team_id=363737&pg=team&fr_id=6452

Bryan says he has a tailgate fundraiser TONIGHT at pre-season Carolina Panthers game. What a fun idea. (Kinda wish I'd thought of it myself for our WBTV News "Team Molly" team!)

Bryan would love to have you on his team. We'd love to have you on "Team Molly", too. Either way. I don't look at it like competition for teams – I feel strongly the whole point is to get as many people out October 1st as possible. It's the best morning.

Have fun tonight, Bryan. Love this picture of Jen, and the one you sent of just her from your wedding day. I'll post it below.
