WEATHER: 80s today with showers likely, heat returns tomorrow

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - We are basically pressing copy and repeat again for this Friday's weather, with another similar day to Wednesday and Thursday. Once again, early low clouds will greet morning commuters with temps in the 70s and a few isolated morning showers.

Another round of scattered showers will populate the region with any day part fair game for rain through tonight. Keep that in mind for Fan Fest tonight at Bank of America Stadium at 6 p.m.  The good news is thunderstorms are not as likely. Highs this afternoon will top out around 86°, dropping into the low 80s for Fan Fest.

The weekend looks a little drier, but also hotter. Highs will return to the low 90s on Saturday with 30% storm coverage and nearly the same Sunday with highs around 90°. We then return to the 80s for most of the next week to follow.

Have a great Friday and a better weekend!
