LINCOLNTON, NC (WBTV) - Another summertime #MollysKids update, this one about 7-year-old Brooke Cockerline from Lincolnton.
Brooke suffers from cCMV, but has a true heart of gold. She offered her power wheelchair to someone in need.
"Brooke has had a difficult summer due to the extreme heat, causing more breathing problems," said Brooke's mom, Alicia. "But I keep saying she's determined. Even though she is now completely ventilator dependent, that didn't stop her from getting in the pool one night when it cooled off."
Alicia said Brooke had a blast. Splashed around and loved every second.
"I was worried about the ventilator with the water at first, but it was a gift to us both," Alicia said. "She loved the pool and I loved seeing her smile and laugh again."
Happy to post a happy update. Here's to more pool days…
