WBTV Speak Out Editorial: Help Put An End to Childhood Cancer

"Speak Out" is an expression of opinion from the Editorial Board of WBTV, and is presented by General Manager, Scott Dempsey.

For the third consecutive year, WBTV is very proud to be teaming up with the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for our Dream Home Giveaway.
The new home being built in the Fox Hunt Run community of Monroe features five bedrooms, four baths, and a beautiful brick and stone exterior. Other prizes will also be awarded.
And while we’re excited that some lucky WBTV viewer may be a winner, we’re even more thrilled that children suffering from cancer will be greatly helped by this project.
St. Jude shares their research and treatment advances freely with doctors and hospitals all around the world.
So, many local families will benefit from our Dream Home ticket sales.
And no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude – not for treatment, travel, transportation, or food.
The overall pediatric cancer survival rate has improved from 20% to 80% since St. Jude opened its doors 50 years ago.
They won’t rest until that figure is 100%.
We invite you to reserve your tickets for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway today, before they all slip away.
They’re just a hundred dollars, and only 11,000 tickets will be sold. So, your odds are pretty good.

Good luck, and let’s put an end to pediatric cancer beginning today.
