CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - We have entered a typical summer time pattern with warm and muggy days... leading to afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
Outside of the mountains (60% chance) we may have a little less thunderstorm coverage around the Piedmont (30% chance) late today than we did Tuesday, but showers and storms become more likely again Thursday and Friday and that trend will continue into the weekend.
A cold front will approach over the weekend, and so there's a 50-60% chance for rain any of those days as the front arrives and then stalls. Temperatures won't change much over the next several days, holding in the mid to upper 80s by day and mid to upper 60s at night and the high humidity will linger as well.
