TEWKSBURY, MA (WBTV) -

Two police officers were dispatched to an unusual rescue last week when seven ducklings wandered into a Massachusetts storm drain.

Tewksbury Police posted video of the cute rescue. Officer Steve Quinn and Sergeant Tommy Cooke were called to the scene, just before they got off work Wednesday morning.

The pair saw the seven ducklings swimming in the storm drain and used tools to remove the heavy drain cover.

That's when Tewksbury Police say Officer Quinn used a large plastic bin to scoop out the ducks one-by-one and Sgt. Cooke carried each one to wetlands next to the road.

Police say the ducklings eventually were corralled by adult ducks that had been watching from a distance. They all appeared to be in good health.
