TODAY: A major change at Charlotte-Douglas International airport could make security lines faster. The airport is moving its priority ticket counter near the D checkpoint. "This will allow us to serve our priority customers in a separate area while trying to help alleviate some of the congestion caused by TSA lines near our main ticket counters," American Airlines says. Several kiosks will also be relocated. We'll have all the details on WBTV.
NOW: A multi-vehicle accident involving at least two tractor-trailers is blocking lanes on Highway 601 near Pageland. Chris Larson will have details on air along with alternative routes.
Breaking overnight....a local convenience store in Charlotte was hit by robbers this morning. It happened on Harris Station Boulevard. Witnesses are being interview right now. We'll have more details on what happened and what police are asking the public to do.
A tough weekend for 12 families in Gastonia. They lost their homes when their apartments caught fire. WBTV's Ashton Pellom has more on the heroic efforts to get people out the apartments to safety.
TODAY: Officials in Matthews will continue discussions today on what it would take to break away from the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system. We're learning who the town would have to go through for that to even be possible.
