Join us for Keith Larson's Ride on April 30

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Lots of talk over the past few weeks over what happens tomorrow, April 30th. Tons of time and heart poured into something that 100% benefits kids.

Specially, these four local kids.

Aaron, Jasmine and Christopher are some of our #MollysKids. They're fighting aggressive brain cancer, Stage IV medulloblastoma and leukemia. (I'll put links to originals posts about them at the end.)

I have yet to meet Deandre. He's also fighting leukemia. He's in the hospital right now after a bone marrow transplant this week.

WBT Radio's Keith Larson has created the Club LAMA Kids Fund to help kids who face big challenges. He has a charity motorcycle Ride every year -- tomorrow marks the 14th Ride.

I will be there. In 14 rides, I haven't missed one.

As I said, 100% of donations go to the kids.

This year is a little different because Keith created his own 501(c)3 so all money raised is funneled through his own non-profit.

What hasn't changed is his mission to help kids who "grab" his heart.

You guys can join us. I say "us" because even though it's fully "Keith's Ride", I take pride in it being the 14th Ride... I can name every child we've ever helped since Ride 1... and no matter the role I play year-to-year, I can't imagine being anywhere else tomorrow morning.

So, join us!

Options on what to do:

1) RIDE. If you want to be a last-minute rider... show up tomorrow morning at Matthews Fun Machines on Independence Blvd and sign up. All info here >>

2) DONATE. Go here >>

3) PARTY. There's live music and yummy Cantina 1511 in the WBT and WBTV News studio parking lot right after the Ride. It's a fundraiser - $20 donation gets full lunch and laidback party. Our studios are in west Charlotte at One Julian Price Place. Email me if you have any questions about location or how to get here (
Or, just share this post and send a thought to Aaron, Jasmine, Christopher and Deandre.

Should be a beautiful day. In more ways than one.
