If you liked Monday, you're going to love today. More sunshine is in the forecast along with unseasonably warm afternoon readings in the mid to upper 80s, close to the record of 89° in Charlotte set in 2002. There may be a few more clouds late in the day, but that's about it.
Mostly cloudy again tonight with lows in the 50s for most neighborhoods.
A cold front will move through by Wednesday morning. While it won't bring any much-needed rain, it will take temperatures down a notch. Highs on Wednesday will be in the mid 70s, and that's where we will remain through Friday.
As far as rain is concerned, we have a small chance on Thursday as a front approaches, but the best chance arrives on Friday. While there's about a 60% chance for rain, it doesn't look like rain totals will be that impressive.
Next weekend looks nice as we dry out and head back to the 80s.
