UNION, S.C. (AP) - A Union woman has been accused of trying to kill her husband by setting him on fire while he was sleeping.
Citing a Union County Sheriff's Office report, news outlets say 44-year-old Lashawn Stevens Hardy is charged with charged with attempted murder and second-degree arson in connection with the early Saturday attack.
The victim told deputies that Hardy poured gasoline on him while he slept before lighting him on fire. He was flown to a Georgia hospital to have his second-degree burns on his neck and back treated.
The report says Hardy has admitted to starting the fire. It is unclear whether she has an attorney.
