CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - After a gray and dreary Easter weekend, we'll see gradual improvement today after the last of the overnight rain moves out this morning. Expect damp roads and areas of fog for your Monday morning commute with temperatures starting out in the mid 50s.
There could be patches of drizzle or light showers in the mountains through the commuting hours.
The rest of the day will bring improvement - especially towards afternoon as winds start to turn from the west. This will dry us out and gradually clear out the cloud-cover as well. With the increasing sun, highs will be in the mid 70s for most areas outside of the mountains, holding in the mid 50s for the high country.
A large, dry area of high pressure then settles over the Carolinas for the midweek, meaning Tuesday and Wednesday look quite nice with plenty of sun and highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Another strong cool front looks to move in by late week, returning the chance for rain and storms for Thursday and Friday.
Hope you have a Happy Monday!
