ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) - Another parent is crushed tonight, wondering why pediatric cancer fiercely hit their baby. I apologize in advance for the tone of this post. But Josh Bronson's mom, Jessica, just reached out from their home in Rock Hill and knowing what their family is going through is heart-breaking and maddening all at once.
Her 8-year-old little boy died this morning from brain cancer.
He was in the third grade.
Jessica just announced this on the "Team Josh" Facebook page >> http://tinyurl.com/zndn2q4
Separately, she sent me an email that said, "I wanted to share that my Joshua passed this morning at home around 6:30am. That's all I can get out. Thank you."
Having to type just that is more than should ever be asked of any parent.
Maybe you remember Josh from a post three months ago? At that time Chik Fil-A and the Charlotte-based Zach Ramsey Childrens Cancer Fund sent him hundreds of chicken nuggets and gift cards because with his intense steroids, that's all Josh seemed to want.
The picture showed a happy Josh, grateful to those who had reached out. (See here >> http://tinyurl.com/hmxrtmo)
Tonight his family is hurting. If you feel compelled to send a good thought their way, I know they'd appreciate the care and concern.
