GOP frontrunner Donald Trump announced plans for a rally in Concord on Monday. He’ll appear at the Cabarrus Arena at noon. Tickets are free, but you have to sign-up on Trump’s website online.
The oddest story of the day—a knife found at OJ Simpson’s former home is being tested by the LA Police Department. It was supposedly found by a construction crew and turned over to a now retired LAPD officer. Even if DNA is found that links Simpson to the murders of his wife Nicole and Ron Goldman, there is nothing legally significant. Simpson is in jail on an unrelated charge and can’t be tried again for those murders.
Tonight, we’re learning what it took for thieves to steal $5 Million in gold bars from an armored transport truck. The FBI says truck was on I-95 in North Carolina, making a routine shipment of gold to a jewelry processing plant in Massachusetts. A GPS device to track the truck's exact location and at the right moment the crooks set off a pepper spray device to subdue the truck drivers. They then set up traffic cones and wore reflective vests, making it look like they were official as they unloaded the gold bars into their getaway van.
