CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A powerful wind field around a strong storm center over the Great Lakes will still stir up some strong gusty winds through the morning hours today and a stiff breeze will linger for the rest of the day before winds gradually weaken tonight.
Most of us will enjoy no less than partly sunny shies today with seasonal afternoon readings in the middle 50s.
Snow in the mountains will continue through the day as colder air wraps around the backside of the storm system up north. Three to five inches of snow is likely by the time the snow finally wraps up in the high country this evening.
For the rest of us, we will clear out and enjoy plenty of sunshine for the close of the work week and into the weekend. Highs will return to the low to mid 50s Friday and Saturday, but jump up into the low to middle 60s on Sunday.
Hope you have a terrific Thursday!
