Molly's Kids: Superstar cancer survivor Elijah Clark, 3 years 'No Evidence of Disease'

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - He's 3 years NED (no evidence of disease)!

Elijah Clark is one cool guy. He has lots to personally celebrate. His mom, Alishia, phrases it best:

"Four years of illness after illness, and yet he continues to carry on with dignity, hope, faith, and courage," she says. "He can finally say three years cancer-free!"

Elijah is a longtime one of our #MollysKids.

More importantly, he's a rock star soccer player, connected in the community and a teenager constantly inspiring others. In fact, Elijah is who introduced us last year to his great friend Robert Gilmore. Robert gained his halo last week. Elijah is also buddies with Dalton Edwards, whose story many of you follow.

You probably know that cancer hits too many kids.

What's not as well known is how these kids network together to find incredibly solid friendships.

We know there are still struggles, Elijah, but, one thing after another. Take a moment to let "three years NED" really sink in. That's something to proudly shout from mountaintops.

"THREE YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!"

(Thought we could do it for you??)  :)

Fingers are crossed that your dream of getting into a great college soccer program is the next step. Keep us updated.

Congrats. #ThreeYears!

PS - Note to Alishia... you're an incredible mom. Life-altering changes continue to fly your way. You, somehow, catch them all. Elijah and now Jordan. The videos on your Facebook page show your positivity. Just know it doesn't go unnoticed. Thanks for being you.

**Editor's note: This is about one of #MollysKids, children WBTV Anchor Molly Grantham follows closely on her Facebook page. It was first published there – which is why it's written in a personal way. For years Molly has followed hundreds of kids with uphill medical battles.
