CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - High pressure building in to the Carolinas now has us clear, dry and chilly as we start our Thursday. We wake up to morning lows close to freezing, but with plenty of sunshine to go around, afternoon readings will rebound to the seasonal mid 50s.
Clear skies and chilly conditions are expected again tonight, as overnight lows fall below freezing for most communities. By Friday afternoon however, we add on a few degrees and reach the upper 50s.
This weekend will definitely have you thinking spring. As the wind pulls out of the south, highs will soar to the mid 60s on Saturday and upper 60s on Sunday. But there will be more clouds around over the weekend and it may not be completely rain free, as there is a 20% shower chance on Sunday.
Next week doesn't look quite as promising. Much higher rain chances return and afternoon readings scale back to near 60 on Monday, then falling further to upper 40s for Tuesday.
