Heavy rain moving out, milder air moving in - Swipe for details

After last night's torrential downpours, the morning commute will feature just a few leftover showers before the whole batch moves out later this morning. Communities east of Charlotte are in the 50s this morning, while 30s - but above freezing - were still common across the mountains and foothills.

Most areas around Charlotte will likely be in the 40s by daybreak.

The rest of today will shape up pretty nicely. The sun will come out and highs will be in the mid to upper 50s. There could be a brief period of rain overnight before we clear out again for Wednesday when highs will be back in the mid to upper 50s.

If you like warm weather, hold on just a little longer. We will be in the 60s by Friday and the weekend.
