Ruptured gas line

Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron at my desk in the WBTV Newsroom.

Ready for the cold?  Teens in Charlotte tomorrow night, single digits in the high country.  And Eric Thomas has his eye on a winter storm for Monday that is changing by the minute.  The latest in his First Alert Forecast at 11:00.

A gas line ruptured near the Highland Creek neighborhood.  It means some 280 homes are without heat until the broken line is repaired.  Reporter Alex Giles is asking when that will happen.

Former Charlotte Mayor, now Transportation Secretary, Anthony Foxx is headed to Havana next week to officially re-open air travel between the US and Cuba for the first time in more than 50 years.  The agreement could mean more than 100 daily round-trip flights.

A fight tonight between high school basketball rivals North Rowan and Salisbury.  We’re seeing home video of a brawl involving what appears to be players and fans.

Tonight we have some extraordinarily good surveillance video from a local business broken into by a gang of burglars.  They broke down the front door and the owner has 8 cameras watching every move.  He took it straight to police and tonight you’ll get to see if you can help catch these crooks.

Please join Eric, Molly Grantham, Delano Little and me for WBTV News at 11:00!
