Chilly, dry weather ahead of Super Bowl 50

Your Friday morning commute will be the coldest of the week, with day-break readings in the low-mid 30s! After a cloudy and rainy stretch, sunshine will return as we close out the work week.

Even so, the afternoon will be chilly with afternoon readings only rebounding around 50° and there'll be a noticeable breeze to contend with as well.

Clear skies tonight, if you are headed out this evening, plan on temperatures in the 30s with overnight lows down into the 20s.

Super Bowl weekend looks to be dry and seasonal with morning lows in the 20s and 30s and afternoon highs rebounding to the lower 50s. It also looks mainly sunny and dry, with the exception of a very small chance of a shower in far eastern sections on Sunday (with a few more clouds in the Charlotte area as well).

Panthers forecast still looks great in Santa Clara, CA. Game time temperatures should be in the low 70s with mostly sunny skies...purrfect!

Looking well down the road, there is a slight chance for brief periods of snow showers on Tuesday with vigorous upper level disturbances traversing the Carolinas.  No accumulations are expected at this point, but we'll be monitoring. Either way, it looks much colder Monday-Wednesday with afternoon highs returning to the 40s with nights in the 20s.
